Yes, the hats are cute, but I still prefer the images of mom with her new baby! I’ve included my favorite image from the session – mom looking at her new baby with awe, and baby looking back at her saying, “You are the most beautiful lady in the world.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LRAFB Spouse Selected to Attend Inc./Joining Forces Military Entrepreneurs Program
Little Rock Air Force Base, AR – September 7, 2011 – Growing a successful business as a military spouse or veteran is focus of Mentoring Fair in Washington DC.
Rebecca Williams has been running a professional photography business since early 2006. During that time the unique challenges that face military spouse entrepreneurs have been evident.
“The toughest part of holding a successful business in the military”, says Mrs. Williams, “is reestablishing my reputation and client base after every PCS.”
In August an initiative was announced by Inc. Magazine and Joining Forces that a Mentoring Fair would be held in Washington DC which would bring together the CEOs of Inc. Magazine’s 500 list with military families and veterans who were starting, or running their own businesses. Mrs. Williams submitted an application, which was subsequently accepted as one of only 100 participants in the Mentoring Fair.
“This is an amazing opportunity, and I am grateful to have been selected. The chance to get one on one business insight from CEOs who have built companies through all environments and economies is an invaluable resource. I hope to take away some great additions to my business plan.”
Rebecca Williams is the sole proprietor of Rebecca Williams Photography. Her studio is at her home, currently on Little Rock Air Force Base. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and has a City of Jacksonville business license.

Newborn Prop Model Session
UPDATE: I have found models for both the boy and girl sessions! Look for images soon!
I have always used Mom for the background of my newborn portraits because I love capturing the new relationship between a mother and her child. These portraits will stand the test of time. However, there is currently a trend in portraits towards using soft props, such as crocheted hats, diaper covers, and hammocks. I have started a collection of these props but need to experiment with them to see if I want to add them into my portraits. Evidenced from the banner photo above, I have plenty of children, but no newborns. I need a model – or two.
I would like to photograph a newborn baby boy and a newborn baby girl and play around with backdrops, props and clothing. Each session will last approximately one to one and a half hours. In exchange for your time, I will give a $50 portrait print credit to each mom and I will also create a slideshow, suitable for web viewing, containing all proofs from your session. The total value of this package is over $300.
If you have a newborn (less than six weeks old) and are interested in a free portrait session, please email me ( becky@rebecca-williams-photography.local ). I need one boy and one girl. If you don’t have a newborn, but know someone who does, share this link with them. Remember, if they mention your name you get a free 8×10 from your next session!
Military Spouse Entrepreneurs
It is tough building and operating a business as a military spouse. Just letting people know that you have a business can be a challenge! I would like to dedicate some blog space for links to other military spouses’ businesses. If you are a military spouse business owner, please email me ( becky@rebecca-williams-photography.local ) a link to your website, facebook page, or etsy store (include a brief description of your business) and I’ll add you to the list on the right!
What is a “Professional Photographer”?
A professional photographer is someone who possesses the knowledge to paint a memory using light, then take that memory and create a work of art that will forever be treasured. Professional photographers offer a unique experience, tailored to each client, that will culminate in a high-value piece admired by family and friends. Professional photography is a luxury purchase that will never cause buyer’s remorse.
