When we bought this giant house in 2016, we had about two boxes of Christmas decorations – one of those was the tree. Moving every three years doesn’t work well with hoarding, and I’m by nature a purger, so collecting Christmas decor was not high on my list.
However, now I own over 4000 square feet of house and it’s a house that begs to be decorated for the holidays. Unfortunately, there isn’t a money fountain in the walls (at least I haven’t found it yet – there’s always hope!) We all know bows and lights and wreaths and holly can add up pretty quickly if you’re trying to do every room at once. Therefore, I decided we would purchase decorations for one room every year until the house is fully decorated.
The first year we did the living room, last year we did the entry way, and this year I decided on the KITCHEN!!
Green is my favorite color and while browsing Pier 1, I found a green nutcracker. He inspired the rest of my decor.
After a stop at JoAnn’s and a short battle with a glue gun – I came out mostly unscathed – I am delighted with the results. So delighted, in fact, that I took photos AND I’m blogging about it!!
